Even though we all know how the story ends, the way you described the environment that created the tragedy is so thrilling. After more than 100 years later, of course we look back on it and think both the builders, crew and passengers were putting too much faith in advertisement. But we’ve certainly fallen victim to promises of state of the art technology before, just look at Ocean Gate and teslas

Thank you, Signnus! <33

It really is unfathomable that even after both the Titanic and Ocean Gate tragedies, people are still prioritizing “state-of-the-art technology” over basic safety. Like… why are we so obsessed with risking lives just to visit a literal death site? Personally, I’d rather watch camera footage than end up down there too. Teslas? Don't even get me started!

I love your writing voice! It’s like listening to a friend explain something they are really excited about sharing with. I could feel your passion for the Titanic in your writing like I was feeling the thump of a bass beat. You also taught me something new. I didn’t realize the compartments weren’t water tight. I’m looking forward to reading more of your writing. Great job!

Great read!! People were trusting then. They said it wouldn’t sink so….it wouldn’t, right? I couldn’t agree more that she rests on the bottom of the ocean so please leave her be. And, yes-it IS a grave. I work on the waterfront and the ocean will win each and every time. Show some respect. Can’t wait to read what’s next! Nice job…

Thank you so much!! You’re so right — people really wanted to believe the unsinkable claim, but it came at the cost of so many lives. And yes, exactly!! She’s a grave, not a tourist trap. The ocean is powerful and deserves so much more respect. I really appreciate your kind words :) Can’t wait to share Part II soon! 💜🚢

One interesting fact to me was the boiler room fires.

Certain fires were obviously expected in shops at that time but the fires in Coal Bunker W of Stokehold No. 9 on the starboard side of the ship were still burning and being relocated the day before voyage.

Looking forward to your part 2, I’m the same, love a Titanic factoid and conspiracy lead arguments! I’m here for your writing !!!

Yesss the coal bunker fires!! Such a wild and often overlooked detail. The fact they were still burning and being moved around the day before sailing is so eerie. But I also read (I'll link the website) that the fire was out by the night before the sinking, and right above it was the First Class pool. Which passengers said was just, "comfortably warm." It’s like there were warning signs layered on top of each other. So glad you’re into the factoids and conspiracies too!! Part II is coming soon and I’m so excited to dive deeper! 🚢💜
